About

A Fellow of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, Fellow of the Institute for Leadership and Management, Senior Founding Fellow in the Faculty of Medical Leadership and Management, and MBA, Tim’s qualifications and work combine his interests in mental health and leadership.

Qualified for over 30 years as a clinician, for more than 20 as a consultant psychiatrist, Tim has written extensively for professional journals including The British Journal of Healthcare Management. He also has 12 years first-hand experience in medical leadership in the NHS, both as Mental Health Advisor to one of the Regional Health Authorities and at Board level as Executive Medical Director & Director of Quality. He now pursues a portfolio career, providing coaching, mentoring, mediation, training, consultancy and advocacy in addition to his work as a psychiatrist.

Tim has coached since 2008, both in the sphere of health and social care and in other private and public sector contexts. He has formal qualifications in all the areas in which he works, including ILM Level 7 Professional Diploma in Executive Coaching & Leadership Mentoring.
